Public Safety Awareness Week

Public+Safety+Awareness+Week

The NJIT Police Department is hosting a series of safety awareness programs to promote initiatives developed by our department that will increase university community knowledge of safety issues on and around campus. Events will be held during the week of Monday, February 3rd through Friday, February 7th during different times and will include interactive demonstrations and awareness information. Students and all of our community are invited to learn how to dust for fingerprints, participate in drunk goggle activities and enjoy free food.

The department’s goal is to strengthen our relationships with the NJIT community by reinforcing our community’s confidence through a unified problem solving approach. Public Safety community policing efforts are based on established community policing models. These embrace our philosophy of engaging students, faculty, and staff in a mutual exchange of ideas and collaborative initiatives to ensure that the community is well informed and prepared to maintain the safest possible environment on campus. The NJIT Police Department is committed to the development of a customer service philosophy through continued departmental policies, procedures, and training initiatives.

Please visit our Community Police Officers at our events.
