Reslife Updates

Reslife+Updates

As stated at the end of our Oak Hall article last week, renovations to Redwood Hall are still planned for completion by September 2014 or earlier. Construction is anticipated to start by February 16, though planning has been well underway. The two main tasks during this phase of the four year Redwood renovation plan are the installation of a second elevator and reconstruction of bathrooms for more privacy.

Three more stages of renovation in the works. Budget year 2014-2015 plans to see renovations on Redwood floors 5 and 6, 2015-2016 on floors 3 and 4, and 2016-2017 for floors 1 and 2. Planned changes include new fan coil units, as they have never been replaced, windows, lighting and painting.

Virtual Housing is being updated to include Honors floor plans in time for Open Room Selection

The Renaissance Fair returns to NJIT on April 4th, complete with petting zoo!

From now on, only Honors students will be permitted to dorm in the Honors residence hall, including students who wish to be pulled in by friends with a lower lottery number. Furthermore, the 3rd floor and half of the 4th floor will be reserved for freshmen, so those rooms cannot be squatted.
