Bartenders Delight: The Hot Pink Barbie Drink

Welcome to Bartender’s Delight! Sometime between last November and now, I actually attempted to make some of the drinks I saved on Pinterest. I think this goes without saying: if you attempt to make any of the drinks mentioned in this column, please do it responsibly. On that note, let’s get to the first drink of this series:
The Hot Pink Barbie Drink
What’s in it?

  • 1 part Malibu Coconut Rum
  • 1 part vodka
  • 1 part Cranberry juice
  • 1 part Orange juice
  • 1 part Pineapple Juice

What to do:

  1.  Fill your cup with ice to your liking.
  2. Add the Malibu and vodka
  3. Next, add the juices. I prefer mixing in the Cranberry juice last (it gives the drink a really cool color effect till you mix it) but you can add them in any order.

If you follow the measurements above, you will NOT get a pink drink. That is why I like adding an extra ounce of cranberry juice. This is the Hot Pink Barbie Drink not the Cloudy Coral Barbie Drink.
For those who are under 21 years old or those who simply prefer not to drink, there is a non-alcoholic version of this drink! The measurements for the juices remain the same. Instead of liquor, just use Sprite and you will have yourself one tasty drink! Hope you guys enjoy! I am always open to suggestions. Till then, check back next week for a new drink.
