Best Anime of 2017

Best+Anime+of+2017

In 2017 there were many top contenders for best anime. For those who do not know, anime is a form of animation made primarily by Japanese companies.

Anime ranges in genre, from adventure stories, to crime dramas, and everything in between. There were many incredible works of anime released this year, but in my opinion, My Hero Academia is one of the best-written and best-executed.

This anime is about a child in a super-powered society who doesn’t have any powers himself. As time progresses, he meets his superpowered idol, who passes his own powers onto him. While watching this anime, I was thrilled to discover each character’s unique power, and for some, wondered which characters were heroes and which were villains. My Hero Academia features not only action, but problem solving and comedy as well, coming together to form a heartwarming and action-packed tale of friendship and heroics that asks the question: what does it mean to be a hero?

Now My Hero Academia is not the only awesome new anime; Made in Abyss is a close second. It features children living in a town surrounding what the townspeople believe to be a bottomless hole, which holds a degree of mystery.

These children encounter a mysterious child, and discover he is an android. The children begin to investigate the hole, but they are met with challenges and the adventure becomes life-threatening. While fairly new, this anime will not disappoint if you are looking for one that will put you on the edge of your seat. As you watch, you will be rooting for the young adventurers on their quest to reach the bottom of the Abyss.

Both these anime are quite long, with episodes thirty minutes apiece. However, many of you binge-watch Netflix series, so exploring anime is not that huge of a feat.

Try watching any of the anime mentioned and decide for yourself; you may be surprised, and end up watching more anime than you anticipated.
