Spring 2014 Room Changes
Students looking to change their room for the Spring 2014 semester can do so online at http://rha.njit.edu/reslifedevel/roomchange. The Spring 2014 list of available rooms will be posted by December 2, 2013. All room changes must be completed by Friday, December 20, 2013 by 12 pm.
Winter Break Housing
Winter housing is included at no additional cost, for those returning for spring 2014. You can swipe in and out as normal. There is no need to take your belongings home!
Winter 2014 Food Service Hours
Gourmet Dining will have limited hours during winter break. A detailed schedule will be available prior to final exams. Students may use their flex dollars during winter break in the venues that are open.
Guests
The guest policy will remain the same as it is during the academic year. All guests must sign in. Review the entire guest policy at http://www.njit.edu/reslife/docs/2013-2014-reslife-at-njit.pdf.
Room Inspections
The Residence Life staff will enter rooms beginning December 15 – December 20, 2013 to complete the winter room inspection process.
Housing Cancellation
If you are thinking about not living on campus for the Spring 2014 semester, you can cancel at any time. However, we do ask that you notify us as soon as possible. You will be charged for the time you are here and ½ the remainder of the contract. Students canceling for the Spring 2014 could be charged $1945.00-$2497.50 depending on your hall/room type.
Spring 2014 Check-In Times
All residents should sign the spring verification lists on January 19 or 20. Residence Life staff will be available in the lobbies/offices from 10 am-5 pm to verify that you are here or returning for the Spring semester. Please make sure you stop by and sign the verification list.
New student check-in is January 19 and 20 from 10-5 pm in their assigned residence hall. If you are expecting a new roommate please make sure their space is clear and ready for them. Classes begin on Tuesday, January 21, 2014.
Spring 2014 Meal Plan Changes
Students are able to make one change to their meal plans by 1/31/2014. You may enter one meal plan change here: http://rha.njit.edu/reslifedevel/mealplan. Please note that freshmen and sophomores are required to have a meal plan while living on campus.
Fall 2014 – Spring 2015 Room Selection
· January 20 – February 2 – Apply online for Housing
· February 3 – Online Community Involvement Forms DUE
· February 3 – Block Housing Applications DUE
· February 6-7 – Squat your current room
· February 6-7 – Pull-In Applications
· February 6 – View your lottery number
· February 13-14 – Block Housing Room Selection
· February 25-27 – Open Room Selection
