Three things you need to know

Babatunde Ojo

Small or large, life-changing or convenient, we at the Vector would like to present information that could have an impact on its students and faculty, whether it be used on campus, or off. Instead of being taken by surprise and unprepared, we have you covered. There is never any harm in learning something new because you’ll never know when it could be used. The purpose of sharing this information is to incur a mental or audible “That’s good to know”.

February 24th, Career Fair

In less than one month’s time NJIT will be hosting their semiannual Career Fair. What this means for students is that it’s time to clean up your resume and practice your small talk. While you can usually go online and look for what could be the “perfect resume”, NJIT offers students something more interactive through the Career Development Services (CDS). CDS can help you modify and improve your resume as well as getting students used to interviews through practice mock-interviews and what companies will be attending a career fair. On top of this they also offer workshops and their dates with them on their website (http://www.njit.edu/cds/) which also features interviews to help you discover and explore your many career options based off of your major and minor. You can find CDS in Fenster Hall, Room 200, which stays open on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The future belongs to those who prepare for it today. – Malcolm X

Red light cameras have been dark since the end of 2014

After December 16th, 2014, New Jersey canceled the Red Light Camera Program. The fear of accidently braking a little too late or not enough and getting a ticket should no longer weigh a toll on your thoughts. However, just because no one is watching you does not mean that you should run red lights with reckless abandon. You should be at ease knowing that the cold icy glare of your inorganic watchmen will soon have no power over your actions.

Njit.xyz the Schedule Builder made just for you

While it may be a bit late (or early) in the semester to care too much, its best to keep this site in mind when registering or keeping track of your schedule. njit.xyz beats out the traditional method of keeping track of your class by giving its users more control and information on what kind of semester they may have. Toss out the old pencil and paper and give it a try.
