On April 11th, 2012 the annual Greek God and Goddess Competition was held in the Campus Center Atrium. With sixteen candidates from ten different organizations, it was tough competition. The candidates were Nichole Letizia and Dorothy Chau from Alpha Sigma Tau Sorority, Brian Frayko from Theta Chi Fraternity, Elizabeth DeCarlo and Paula McCarter from Sigma Psi Kappa Sorority, Joseph Scoccimarro-Greiner from Sigma Pi Fraternity, April Schuppel from Delta Phi Epsilon Sorority, Nicolas Bernal and James McMahon from Phi Sigma Kappa Fraternity, Alexander Leventhal from Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity, Seth Bortey from Psi Upsilon Fraternity, Adam Westenberger from Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity,
After four rounds – which consisted of Casual Wear, Beach Wear, Talent, and Formal Wear – the respective judges finally came up with the winners. They had a tough decision to make between the guitar, piano, rapping, poems, singing, public speaking and more. The previous Greek Goddess, Courtney Lopez, from Alpha Sigma Tau Sorority crowned the new Greek Goddess, Dorothy Chau, also from Alpha Sigma Tau Sorority, the first runner up Nichole Letizia from Alpha Sigma Tau Sorority. Second runners up Paula McCarter from Sigma Psi Kappa Sorority and April Schuppel from Delta Phi Epsilon sorority walked onto stage as well.
While the Goddess was being crowned, the new Greek God had been named, and the Greek God from last year, Julian Rivera, from Phi Sigma Kappa Fraternity put the crown on James McMahon, also from Phi Sigma Kappa Fraternity. The runner ups walked up to the stage as well, respectively, with Nicolas Bernal from Phi Sigma Kappa in the lead, and Adam Westenberger from Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity coming in second. This was a fun event filled with laughs.
