On Wednesday, January 29, 2014, The NJIT Young Alumni Club (YAC) hosted
“Marketing You: Building a Personal Brand”, a short discussion on how to
differentiate yourself during job searches, to clients, and how to build your
image and reputation. Over 65 attendees learned why marketing yourself is
just as important as marketing the products and services that you offer, both
to your own firm as well as to your clients. The discussion highlighted ways
in which you can apply the skills that entrepreneurs use in their businesses
to your personal career development strategy. The topic, which was of great
use for juniors, graduating seniors, and graduate students, discussed how to
distinguish yourself while putting together a resume to snag that first new
job and how to make yourself stand out among your peers.
If you missed this event, no worries! The webinar was recorded and will be
available for viewing any time after February 21, 2014 at the YAC website:-
