Every year, Delta Phi Epsilon Beta Eta chapter holds their ANAD dinner. This event is held to raise money for one of Delta Phi Epsilon’s national philanthropies: Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders. The event began at 9 pm. Guests paid only ten dollars to enjoy a lovely home cooked meal as well as raffle tickets that they could use to win various baskets prepared by the sisters. After the dinner, a tear-wrenching video was shown about the struggle of anorexia nervosa and how ANAD helps individuals battling the disease. Guests also partook in a reading of the ANAD Pledge followed by candlelit moment of silent for those suffering from eating disorders.
After extinguishing their candles, raffle drawing began. Guests won baskets with themes ranging from “the tea lover’s basket” to “the hangover basket”. The event had a great turn out from many Greeks as well as Delta Phi Epsilon alumni, faculty, families, and other NJIT students.
