On Friday February 6, NJIT’s Men’ss Volleyball team fell to the Princeton Tigers, 3-0 in NJIT’s home opening game in the Estelle and Zoom Fleisher Athletic Center. This loss dropped the highlander’s overall record to 4-3, and raised Princeton’s to 3-4.
NJIT senior Kajetan Borecki, number 6, led the team on offense with 10 kills and only 5 errors in 22 swings, while sophomore Jaberry Goodridge, number 1, led the team on defense with 6 digs.
Princeton faulted only 9 errors during the match against NJIT’s 19. The overall hitting percentage was .441 to .092 in favor of Princeton. The Tiger’s setter, Chris Kennedy, collected 5 out of the 7 total aces for the visiting team, while Highlander’s sole ace for the match came from R-junior TJ Jurko, number 14.
The Highlanders will be back on the court on Wednesday February 11 in North Jersey to take on rival Stevens at 7 pm.
