The February Photo Contest’s theme was “What does love mean to you?” They aimed to get members of the NJIT community to participate and get involved in campus life and express themselves in a creative way, as well as to showcase artwork from students and brighten campus up a little. They received many great submissions in the last two weeks of February, and are hoping for more this upcoming month.
Jeremy Danan won the popular vote through the Photography Club Facebook page (facebook.com/photography.club.of.njit), Arleen Marino’s submission was chosen by their critic Jack Wagner because of its symbolic nature, and the Photography club E-board chose Asim Patel’s as their favorite because of the color and intimacy of the shot.
The photography club’s next themed competition for March is coming up. The theme of the competition is, “Describe yourself.” Students can submit their entries along with a ~10 word blurb. High quality photos preferred; original work only; with a maximum two submissions per person. Content can be submitted to [email protected] until Sunday, March 20th. Like February’s contest, the submissions will be displayed in the Campus Center Gallery the last week of the month.
