7:38PM Officers responded to the second floor of Laurel Hall on a report of a suspicious odor. The matter was referred to Residence Life.

12:04PMA student reported a theft of personal property from the third floor of the Gym.
3:56PMOfficers responded to Laurel Hall on a fire alarm which had been caused by an overheated detector. The system was reset and the residents were allowed to re-enter.
6:51PM Officers conducted a pedestrian stop on Sussex Ave. and Hoyt St. The subject had no warrants and was sent on way.
9:29PM Officers conducted a pedestrian stop on Central Ave. and MLK Blvd. The subject had no warrants and was sent on way.

2:56PM An NJIT student reported the theft of their items from the Gym, but then admitted he had lied about the incident. During this investigation the student also admitted to committing three thefts in the gym this week. The student is in the process of making restitution to the victims.
4:22PM A student reported someone was throwing water bottles from a window in Cypress Hall. The subjects were identified and the matter was turned over to Residence Life.
7:06PM Officers assisted an emotionally disturbed person at the City Subway and transported them to the Crisis Center at UMDNJ.
7:31PM Someone reported a suspicious item on a stairway in the Campus Center. The item turned out to be a brick wrapped in foil for a balloon display.
9:07PM A student reported the theft of items from the Gym. They later called back and stated that a friend had taken them as a prank and they had been returned.

10:57AM Officers responded to a call regarding smell of smoke on the fourth floor of Fenster. It turned out to be an overheated computer. No further action was needed.
04/03/2014
1:05AM Officers responded to a dispute on Bleeker Street. The subjects were sent on their way.
04/04/2014
7:14AM Physical Plant employee reported that someone had discharged a fire extinguisher on the first floor of the GITC Building.
11:36AM Contractors working in the basement of the CKB reported that several pipes fell from the ceiling, damaging conduits and lighting.
12:25PM Officers responded to a fight call at the Newark Street Subway Station. Newark PD and Transit PD were on location and the incident was handed over to them.
4:01PM A student reported a theft from his secured locker in the Gym.
9:20PM Officers responded to a fire alarm at 7 Greek Way. A smoke detector had been activated but no signs of smoke or fire were found. The system was reset and the students were allowed to return.
